FUNDRAISERS:
It is important that you participate with East Basketball Fundraisers. The funds made off-set the total cost of tournament participation, and also provide opportunities for players needing to cover fees necessary to participate.
WIAA regulations provide that no player can be sponsored (that is fee's covered) by another adult or organization. Participation fees must be covered by the individual player, or off-set by hourly rate for working an event.
The Fundraisers will also cover additional opportunities like:
We get called to participate in a Tournament at the last minute, have teams available and can go at a fraction of the cost due to another team canceling.
Help cover some coaching costs like meals, mileage costs when coaches are covering weekend tournaments.
Scholarships as needed, as long as those individuals needing support participate in work related to that fundraising event and time is documented for WIAA and District guidelines.
It is important that fundraising events are supported by all players.
This is the first year we have attempted to create a more formal off-season program for East High School Basketball Athletes. The program was created as a result of input from East Side Families and Players and those that want to play at East to have the opportunity to participate in a Summer Program with fellow students.
All financial information is updated monthly. If interested in reviewing the financials or have a question about record keeping, contact Tyler or Mike Park. All account information is held in two separate individual names. We will add a third account holder by the beginning of summer. Our costs are simple, Tournament Fees, Scholarships, Coach incidentals and expenses for our tournament set up. For Tournaments we host at East High School, there are costs associated with the event, but we also have income related to concessions (Shared with the Booster Club), ticket sells and entry fees from teams participating.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call, 608-628-7528, and/or email: tycleveland4@yahoo.com , or Mike Park at 608-332-8820, and/or email: mike@planetpropaganda.com.
